Description
* We have received reports that Bulk carrier, MAYUREE NAREE (IMO: 9323649) was struck by a projectile whilst transiting the Strait of Hormuz in a position approximately 11 nautical miles north of Oman on 11 March 2026.
* It is reported that the vessel experienced a fire as a consequence of the missile strike. The fire is reported to have been brought under control by the crew and later extinguished.
* It is possible that General Average, Salvage and Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
