* Further to our previous Report concerning the fire on board container ship, EVER LENIENT, we are advised that approximately 34 containers may have sustained damage as a direct result of the fire; and up to approximately 250 containers may have been affected by water damage as a consequence of the fire-fighting operation.
* Shipowners have not declared General Average at this time. Nevertheless, the fi-fi water damage to cargo would generally be considered a GA sacrifice.
* We do, therefore, recommend that you contact us if you are concerned with any affected cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.

* We have received reports that container ship, EVER LENIENT (IMO: 9604146) experienced a fire on board at Pasir Panjang Terminal, Singapore on 10 April 2026.
* It is reported that the fire was brought under control by firefighters and later extinguished, and containers affected by fire and/or heat and/or smoke and the fire-fighting operations may have been discharged from the vessel at Singapore.
* It is possible that General Average/Salvage and Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
* We have cargo surveyors on hand to ascertain any loss or damage to cargo, if required, and we therefore recommend that you contact us if you are concerned with any affected cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
